Shahtinsk commission finished its work

Astana. October 27. Kazakhstan Today - Today in Shahtinsk the conciliatory commission, created to resolve the dispute between miners of coal department of Mittal Steel Temirtau and the company board, finished its work, the agency reports.

As it was informed earlier, the commission began the on September 27, during mass protest actions of miners. The commission should consider all requirements of miners within four weeks and present them to the company board. The first item of the requirements was the question of wages increase.

"For a month of work the commission systematized all requirements of miners and reduced them to 43 items," the source in the company board informs. "All these requirements have been transferred to the bilateral commission for the collective agreement, which should be held today its first session," he added.

As it was informed earlier, miners began the strike after mine explosion on September 20. The reason of the explosion, which resulted in the death of 41 miners, the governmental commission named rough infringements of requirements of labor safety and safety precautions. The mines of coal department began a massive strike. The main requirements of miners were improvement of working conditions and increase of wages. The question of increase of miners' wages has been solved.
