United Arab Emirates, Mongolia undertake measures to protect falcons

Almaty. September 22. Kazakhstan Today - The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) along with the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism of Mongolia carry out the project on creation artificial nesting to increase population of falcon-baloban, the agency reports citing the Arabian edition The National.

The agreement signed yesterday for the sum of 1.5 million pounds sterling assumes construction of five thousand artificial nests in the central steppes of Mongolia.

Nests will be constructed of big metal cans that will allow scientists to watch growth and development of birds. Scientists will watch birds throughout five years.

The project's cost also includes salary for the Mongolian workers who will be protecting nests.

Mohammad Ahmad Al Bowardi, Secretary- General of the Executive Council and Managing Director of EAD, said that they have already addressed with an appeal other ecological organizations and the Mongolian government.
