Cattle head in CIS countries in I half of 2010 reduced by 1 %

Cattle head in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, not taking into account Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as of July 1, 2010, for a year was on the average reduced by 1 % to 44 million 469 thousand, the agency reports citing the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee.

Kazakhstan Today - Cattle head in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, not taking into account Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as of July 1, 2010, for a year was on the average reduced by 1 % to 44 million 469 thousand, the agency reports citing the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee.

"Livestock, on the average in the Commonwealth, including cows, as of July 1, 2010 in comparison with the corresponding date of the previous year reduced by 1 %, pigs - has increased by 5 %, and sheep and goats - by 1 %."

According to statistical department, livestock of cows, pigs, and smalls (sheep and goats) in the Commonwealth countries during the accounting period amounted to 18 million 824 thousand, 33 million 657 thousand and 64 million 245 thousand accordingly.
