Aktau. January 28. Kazakhstan Today - The master plan of the project Caspian Energy Hub is planned to be completed in March - April, 2009, akim of Mangistau region, Krymbek Kusherbayev informed, the agency reports.

According to akim of the oblast, the master plan is being currently developed. The project will be implemented in the territory of Aktau. "Multi-service and technology center for the oil and gas industry will increase capacity of the Caspian region, realize its potential, and increase the level of human capital development and the economy as a whole," K. Kusherbayev said.

The following centers are planned to be created among the various elements of the Caspian Energy Hub: Park of Science and Technology, laboratory of geophysical data, Technical Training Center, Information Technology Development Center, Center for Environmental Studies, and Renewable Energy Center.

K. Kusherbayev reminded that the project will be implemented by the government of Kazakhstan with the support of Gulf Finance House Commercial Bank and the consulting firm PFC Energy International. The National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and akimat of Mangistau region are involved in realization of the project.

The government of Kazakhstan has allocated $ 20 million and the investors from Bahrain have invested the same amount. "There will be a joint venture. $ 400 million is planned to be allocated for the first stage," the akim said.
