GDP per capita to make $6.543 in 2009 - government forecast

Astana. August 1. Kazakhstan Today - According to the medium-term fiscal policy carried out by the government of Kazakhstan, in 2009 GDP volume per capita will reach $6.543, the agency reports.

"GDP per capita is planned to reach the level of 6.543 US dollars by 2009 that will exceed the level of 2005 by 1,77 times," the decree signed by PM Daniyal Akhmetov on medium-term fiscal policy of Kazakh government for 2007 - 2009 published today in official mass media states.

According to the document, mid-annual real GDP growth in 2007 - 2009 will make 8.8 % that will allow solving strategic problem of GDP doubling in 2008 in relation to 2000."

"Rates of investments volumes growth into fixed capital will make in the planned period 114.3 %," the document states.
