Ministry of National Economy on upturn for food products and services

Inflation rate in Kazakhstan is 2.7% over the first half of 2018.
Growth for food products, services, and non-groceries became the subject of a report of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of National Economy.

Prices for food products grew by 2.5% over the 7 months of 2018, as for the non-groceries, the growth amounted to 2.8%.

Since the beginning of this year (July 2018 to December 2017), the increase in prices was noted for beets by 35.7%, carrots by 34.5%, sugar by 12.1%, cheese rennet by 8.1% %, canned milk - by 7.1%, cheese and cottage cheese - by 6.3%, coffee - by 5.8%, butter, meat products - 4.5%, dairy products - 4.4% , lamb - by 4%, horse meat - by 3.9%, beef - by 3.7%, fresh milk, pork - by 3.6% . The decrease in prices was fixed for cucumbers by 57.3%, tomatoes - by 44, 2%, garlic - by 26.7%, eggs - by 12.3%, sweet pepper - by 10.4%, potatoes - by 5.9%, " the report reads.


The increase in prices for books was 4.8%, construction materials 4.2%, cars 4.1%, pharmaceutical products 4%, clothing and footwear 3.7%, household appliances 3.6%, textiles, glass and ceramic products - 3.5% each, furniture and household goods - 3.2%, personal goods - 3%, cleaning and cleaning products - 2.6%. Diesel fuel went up by 12.9%, liquefied gas in cylinders - by 4.8%, and gasoline became cheaper - by 2%.

As for the price level for cable television, upturn was 9.1%, legal services, insurance of personal vehicles - 6% each, sanatorium services - 5.1%, entertainment parks - 5%, preschool services - 4.6%, health care - 3.8%, hairdressers and institutions personal service - by 3.6%, cellular communications - by 3.1%. Passage by air passenger transport has risen in price by 25.3%, intercity bus - by 5.6%, by railroad - by 5.1%, by intercity bus - by 3.1%.

In the field of communal service cold water tariff get up by 4.4 % and canalization – by 3.2%.
