Number of HIV infected children in South Kazakhstan reached 89

Shymkent. Janury 30. Kazakhstan Today - The number of HIV infected children in the South Kazakhstan oblast reached 89 people, the agency reports.

"For January 29 the quantity of children with HIV infection diagnosis has totaled 89 people," the regional department of public health services press service informed the agency. "The quantity of HIV infected of mothers remains unchanged," the press service added.

According to the oblast health service department, HIV has been found out in the boy from Kazygurt oblast where the inspection of contact children from the center of infection, revealed in the regional hospital, is being conducted.

For today, in the South Kazakhstan oblast HIV-infection has been revealed in 89 children, eight of which died, and one has gone abroad in connection with adoption. The virus has been diagnosed in 12 mothers of the infected children.
