Russia, Belarus concluded cooperation agreement on peaceful use of atomic energy

Russia and Belarus have concluded the cooperation agreement on peaceful use of atomic energy, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

Almaty. May 29. Kazakhstan Today - Russia and Belarus have concluded the cooperation agreement on peaceful use of atomic energy, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

According to RBC, the document was signed during working visit of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to Belarus. Besides, the government of the Russian Federation and the government of Belarus signed the agreement on mutual transfer to ownership rights on land and lease of land.

The cooperation agreement in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy has frame character and opens opportunities for realization of the projects, in particular, construction of the atomic power station in Belarus, deliveries of nuclear fuel, and waste fuel.
