World market price for uranium decreased first time in four years

Almaty. July 17. Kazakhstan Today - There is a recession in the world market of uranium. The prices for uranium decreased in week expression that occurred for the first time in almost four years, consulting companies TradeTech and The UxConsulting Company working in nuclear branch informed.

As of July 9, prices for uranium concentrate decreased up to $133 per pound of oxide uranium (U3O8) from $135 per pound that was one month ago. It has occurred due to reduction in demand of the operators of nuclear power stations. After many months of deficit, growing prices and intensive demand for uranium concentrate, consumer interest decreased.
