World market prices of tin has decreased. The average price of tin at the London stock exchange of metals (London Metal Exchange - LME) at the last tenders, on Chinese spot market and at the stock exchange of Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) have decreased.

Almaty. September 2. Kazakhstan Today - World market prices of tin has decreased. The average price of tin at the London Metal Exchange (LME) at the last tenders, on Chinese spot market and at the stock exchange of Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) have decreased.

Stocks of tin in LME warehouses over the last month have remained at the same level and at stock exchange KLTM warehouse stocks of this metal have decreased.

According to World Bureau of Metal Statistics, world consumption of tin for the first half of 2008 has increased and manufacture of this metal for the same period has decreased. According to the forecasts, world production of tin will decrease in 2008 by more than 4 %. There has been a deficit of tin in the world market.

Following the results of survey of 26 banks and other organizations, according to Reuters agency, mid-annual price of tin on LME for 2008 will be by 42 % higher than the actual mid-annual price for 2007. The analysts of Barclays Capital consider that the nearest price prospects for tin as favorable.
