World prices for oil went down on November 22

The prices for oil in the world markets on Monday, November 22, decreased due to the situation in Europe, where Ireland required financial help. There were concerns over the problems, which forced Ireland to accept help of the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, which can happen in other European countries, which led to strengthening of the US dollar as compared to the euro.

Almaty. November 23. Kazakhstan Today - The prices for oil in the world markets on Monday, November 22, decreased due to the situation in Europe, where Ireland required financial help. There were concerns over the problems, which forced Ireland to accept help of the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, which can happen in other European countries, which led to strengthening of the US dollar as compared to the euro.

The official cost of the December futures contract (settlement) of North Sea Brent Crude at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) within the last trading day went down on November 22 from $84.34 to $83.96 per barrel.

The official cost of the December futures contract (settlement) on the American Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) within the last trading day decreased from $81.98 to $81.74 per barrel.

The price of the OPEC Reference Basket on November 19 increased from $81.09 up to $81.41 per barrel.
