World prices for oil went up on September 6

The world prices for oil, following the results of the tenders on Monday, September 6, in London, went up, in spite of the absence of important news. Stock exchanges in New York on Monday were closed in connection with Labor Day. Prior to the beginning of trading day, on September 7, futures of Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) transactions were carried out only through the electronic trading system CME GLOBEX, but these quotations are not official.

Almaty. September 7. Kazakhstan Today - The world prices for oil, following the results of the tenders on Monday, September 6, in London, went up, in spite of the absence of important news. Stock exchanges in New York on Monday were closed in connection with Labor Day. Prior to the beginning of a trading day, on September 7, futures of Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) transactions were carried out only through the electronic trading system CME GLOBEX, but these quotations are not official.

The official cost of the October futures contract (settlement) of the North Sea oil of Brent Crude Oil at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) during the last trading day went up from $76.67 to $76.87 per barrel.

The official cost of the October futures contract (settlement) of delivery of oil of Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) during the last trading day remained at the level of $74.60 per barrel.

The cost of OPEC oil basket (OPEC Reference Basket of crudes) grew on September 3 from $72.89 to $73.05 per barrel. In August, 2010, the cost of OPEC basket has averaged $74.15 per barrel.
