CIS leaders to found joint fund of $10 billion

During the informal summit in Borovoy the Presidents of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and Tajikistan made a decision on establishment of the joint fund at the size of $10 billion to overcome the consequences of the world economic crisis, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

Kazakhstan Today - During the informal summit in Borovoy the Presidents of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and Tajikistan made a decision on establishment of the joint fund at the size of $10 billion to overcome the consequences of the world economic crisis, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

According to the press service, the summit participants agreed to create the center of high technologies aimed at joint development and introduction of innovative projects.

During the meeting the presidents emphasized that the plan of joint actions of Kazakhstan and Russia for 2007 - 2008 had been realized. In this connection, the leaders signed the new plan for the next two years - 2009 - 2010.
