Customs Union to sign first economic cooperation agreement

First Vice Premier of the Russian Federation, Igor Shuvalov, at a meeting with the President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, informed that the government of New Zealand has expressed interest in signing of free trade zone agreement. Kazakhstan Today - First Vice Premier of the Russian Federation, Igor Shuvalov, at a meeting with the President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, informed that the government of New Zealand has expressed interest in signing of free trade zone agreement. The president's press service of the Russian Federation informed, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

"There was a proposal to sign such an agreement with the Russian Federation, but after an explanation that such agreement will be signed by all three states of the Customs Union, they have officially offered to sign such agreement with the Customs Union states," First Vice Premier of the Russian Federation said.

During the meeting, D. Medvedev informed that he signed the laws on ratification of three Customs Union agreements: the law on ratification of the agreement on information exchange between the customs bodies of the Customs Union states, the law on ratification of the agreement on the uniform customs registry of intellectual property objects of the Customs Union states, and the federal law on ratification of the agreement on exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles transported through the customs border."
