As of today, the Interpol holds search for the children whom father took them out Kazakhstan heading over Malaysia. It was reported in a press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
As we reported in the Ministry, the citizen of Malaysia who was married to the Kazakhstan citizen, on March 8 this year took his children back to his homeland. The spouses divorced in August 14, 2017. They have two under-age children of 2015 and 2016 years of birth.
In order to search for the children, the Consul of Kazakhstan met with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the police of Malaysia. At the meeting, the Malaysian side was presented the relevant documents. At the moment, the police of Malaysia and the local office of the Interpol investigate the documents presented by the embassy of Kazakhstan and search for the children. The issue is kept under a constant supervision. The children were born in Malaysia and have birth certificates of that county that does not hinder their return to Malaysia," they said in a press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, the grandmother of the children noted that only one of her grandchildren was born in Malaysia. The second child has Kazakhstan’s birth certificate.
The press service added that the man crossed the border of Kazakhstan on the Astana-Tashkent flight in March 8, 2018.
