Kazakhstan denies delivering weapon to Somalia - MFA
Astana. August 7. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan denied the information on possible delivery of military cargoes to Somalia. Kazakh MFA press secretary Ilyas Omarov stated today during traditional briefing in Astana, the agency reports.
"In connection with appeared in a number of mass media information on illegal transportation by plane Il-76, presumably with Kazakhstan symbolic, military cargoes to the airport of Mogadishu (Somalia), the Ministry for Foreign Affairs is authorized to declare that Kazakhstan has no relation to the fact and did not deliver the weapon in this country," he said.
MFA representative emphasized that "the Republic Kazakhstan strictly observes all obligations, including resolutions of the United Nations №733 and 775 from 1992 on complete embargo on deliveries of all kinds of weapons and military equipment to Somalia."
