Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan agreed on creation of Asian Disaster Reduction Center

During the second advisory meeting taken place on Wednesday and Thursday, April 15-16th, 2009, in Almaty, Vice Ministers and chairmen of structural divisions of the central body of the ministries and departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, agreed on creation of Central Asian Disaster Reduction Center, the agency reports citing the press service of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).

Kazakhstan Today - During the second advisory meeting taken place on Wednesday and Thursday, April 15-16th, 2009, in Almaty, Vice Ministers and chairmen of structural divisions of the central body of the ministries and departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, responsible for prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of natural and technogenic character, agreed on creation of Central Asian Disaster Reduction Center, the agency reports citing the press service of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).
