Kazakhstan recognizes right of Iran to use of atomic energy

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, stated, following the results of the negotiations with the President of the Islamic Republic Iran, Mahmud Ahmadinezhad, Kazakhstan recognizes the right of Iran to use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, stated, following the results of the negotiations with the President of the Islamic Republic Iran, Mahmud Ahmadinezhad, Kazakhstan recognizes the right of Iran to use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes, the agency reports.

"We consider that Iran, as well as other states, has the full right to peaceful use of atomic energy," the head of the state stated.

He also said that Kazakhstan supports applications of the Presidents of Russia and the USA for their wish to significantly reduce nuclear weapons in their countries. "We welcome the decision of the USA on readiness for the dialogue with Iran on the basis of mutual interests and respect of each other," N. Nazarbayev said.
