KR Minister of Industry visits Tajikistan and Turkmenistan to hold negotiations on purchase of electric energy

The Minister Industry, Energy and Fuel Resources of Kyrgyzstan, Saparbek Balkibekov, left for Tajikistan and Turkmenistan to hold negotiations on purchase of electric power. Deputy, Jury Danilov, informed at the session of profile committee of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday, the agency reports.

Bishkek. September 17. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister Industry, Energy and Fuel Resources of Kyrgyzstan, Saparbek Balkibekov, left for Tajikistan and Turkmenistan to hold negotiations on purchase of electric power. Deputy, Jury Danilov, informed at the session of profile committee of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday, the agency reports.

According to the session participants, deficit of electric power in Kyrgyzstan makes 1 billion kW/h.

"Some part of needed electric power Kyrgyzstan can cover due to import from the neighboring countries. However, Kyrgyzstan has not yet agreed on deliveries of electric power including 250 million kW/h promised by Zhambyl state district power station of Kazakhstan as they have not discussed hydro-power mode," J. Danilov noted.

As it was informed earlier, the negotiations of the representatives of three countries: Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan took place earlier in Almaty. "Three parties did not come to a common opinion at the meeting," the Minister of Industry said.
