Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan to hold consultations of foreign policy departments of CIS countries on South Ossetia situation
Bishkek. August 11. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan will hold consultations of foreign policy departments of CIS countries on the situation in South Ossetia, the agency reports referring to the press service of Kyrgyzstan president.
The decision on holding consultations was accepted by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiyev. The leader of the neighboring state has expressed concern over proceeding military actions in South Ossetia with numerous victims among peaceful population. He charged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan to hold consultation works.
According to the press service, Kyrgyzstan President has been guided by article 18 of CIS Charter as well as the basis of presidency of Kyrgyzstan in CIS accepting this decision.
