Prime Minister opened national pavilion of Kazakhstan at World EXPO 2010 in Shanghai

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, opened the national pavilion of Kazakhstan at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai (China), the agency reports citing official mass media.

Almaty. April 30. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, opened the national pavilion of Kazakhstan at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai (China), the agency reports citing official mass media.

Having familiarised with the exposition of a two-storeyed Kazakhstan pavilion, the Prime Minister highly assessed its design and execution. K. Masimov also visited the exhibition halls of Japan and China.

"I think that the exhibition EXPO 2010 in Shanghai demonstrates that economic development of the world is at the new technological stage. Therefore, according to the assignments of the head of state on further development of the economy of Kazakhstan, the government needs to study and introduce innovative technologies so that our Kazakhstan and our companies become competitive," K. Masimov said.

The chairman of the Peoples Republic of China, Hu Jintao, and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, discussed cooperation questions between China and Kazakhstan in oil and gas, atomic engineering, development of infrastructure and frontier trade.
