Putin plans to visit Uzbekistan

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, plans to visit Uzbekistan. He informed at the session of the Presidium of the Cabinet on Monday, the agency reports.

Moscow. July 22. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, plans to visit Uzbekistan. He informed at the session of the Presidium of the Cabinet on Monday, the agency reports.

"During the visit the parties will discuss possibilities of activization of trade and economic relations," the Russian Prime Minister informed.

The visit will take place till November, 2008. The session of the Russian-Uzbek intergovernmental commission will be held in Moscow.

"After the visit in November, 2008 the session of the intergovernmental commission will be held in Moscow on all questions of bilateral cooperation of Russia and Uzbekistan," Vice Prime Minister, Sergey Ivanov, Russian co-chairman of the commission informed at the session of the presidium of the government of the Russian Federation.

During the session S. Ivanov informed V. Putin on the results of the visit to Uzbekistan. Bilateral agreements in fuel and energy sphere have been discussed with the Uzbek counterparts. "Commodity turnover has grown assisted by the work of such companies in Uzbekistan as Gazprom and Lukoil, S. Ivanov informed.

The questions of industrial cooperation, investment agreements, including the agreement on integration of Chkalov Tashkent aviation-production association in the incorporated avia construction corporation were discussed at the meeting of co-chairmen of intergovernmental commission in Tashkent.
