Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan coordinated 95 % of uniform custom duties

Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have coordinated 95 % of uniform custom duties. The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, informed opening the session of the Supreme Body of the Customs Union, the agency reports citing the Internet portal of the government of the Russian Federation.

Moscow. June 9. Kazakhstan Today - Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have coordinated 95 % of uniform custom duties. The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, informed opening the session of the Supreme Body of the Customs Union, the agency reports citing the Internet portal of the government of the Russian Federation.

"Despite difficult economic situation, we are not reducing the rate of integration processes and intend to use all the advantages of mutual cooperation," V. Putin said.

"We have a common opinion: we need to unite our efforts to overcome the crisis. We have undertaken practical steps in this direction," the Prime Minister of Russia said.

"We have coordinated 95 % of tariffs," V. Putin said.

"It was the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who initiated acceleration of formation of the Customs Union. He initiated to complete the basic procedures by January 1st, 2010 and we agreed to realize this initiative," he emphasized.

As informed earlier, the questions of realization of joint efforts for overcoming of the world financial crisis in the states of the Eurasian Economic Community, formation of the Customs Union within the limits of EurAsEc, and acceptance of a number of agreements, in particular, uniform approaches to application of information technology in the work of customs services will be discussed during the 23rd session of EurAsEC Interstate Council at the level of prime ministers.

The Prime Ministers will make the decisions regulating the work of the Anti-Crisis Fund and the EurAsEC Center of High Technologies.
