The UAE introduces special 5-year visas for foreigners aged above 55 years from 2019, Kommersant reports.
Foreigners who have a property with the cost of not less than 2 million dirhams ($545 thousand), savings not less than 1 million dirhams ($272 thousand) or a permanent income up to 20 dirhams a month ($5.45 thousand) can get the visa. The new rules will enter force from 2019," said the report referring to Emirati daily National.
According to the daily, the UAE has recently introduced 10-year residential visas for investors, high-qualified specialists, scientists, businessmen, and gifted students. Additionally, the country's leadership decided to free underage children, foreign tourists from visa fees during the school holidays - from July 15 to September 15. In early July, Russian and the UAE signed an agreement to cancel visas.
