Vice Prime Minister to take part in sixth session of Customs Union commission in Moscow

Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, will take part in the sixth session of the Customs Union commission on June 25 in Moscow. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed at Monday's briefing, the agency reports.

Astana. June 23. Kazakhstan Today - Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, will take part in the sixth session of the Customs Union commission on June 25 in Moscow. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed at Monday's briefing, the agency reports.

According to Y. Ashikbayev, the session participants will consider the following questions: the project of the Customs Code of the Customs Union, preparation of joining of the territory of the Customs Union the World Trade Organization, proposals on development of the mechanism of collection and distribution of customs duties, taxes and customs duties having equivalent effect, and the measures for realization of the plan of action on formation of the Customs Union of EurAsEC for 2008 - 2010.

As informed earlier, the commission of the Customs Union will consider on June 25th the project of the Customs Code. Elvira Nabiullina, Minister of Economic Development and Commerce of the Russian Federation, informed on June 18th at the meeting with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

"We need to finish the work on the uniform Customs Code. All countries will consider the project of the Customs Code on June 25th at the commission of the Customs Union. We also need to coordinate the mechanism of collection and distribution of customs duties, to observe balance of interests of all countries and not to lose any income due to inadequate administration," Minister of Economic Development and Commerce of the Russian Federation informed.
