Belarus, Kazakhstan mark 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations

Over the past two decades the two countries went a long way of development of statehood, strengthening of sovereignty and independence, ensuring high living standards of citizens.

Almaty. September 18. Kazakhstan Today - President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent greetings to President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan on 16 September.

"Over the past two decades the two countries went a long way of development of statehood, strengthening of sovereignty and independence, ensuring high living standards of citizens. Today Belarus and Kazakhstan are strategic partners and allies. Vigorous bilateral cooperation is systemic. The two states has made good progress in enhancing cooperation in all avenues," the felicitation message of the President of Belarus to the President of Kazakhstan runs, according to BelTA.

"Throughout history our peoples strived for friendship and unity. This allowed us to launch integration within the framework of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space," the head of Belarus noted.

"I am confident that while maintaining the focus on mutual respect, friendship and strategic partnership we will be able to ensure rapid and sustainable growth of the two states," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
