CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Council to make statement on Georgian-Ossetian conflict

The Council of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS countries will make a statement on the Georgian-Ossetian conflict. The deputy of zhogorku kenesh (Kyrgyzstan Parliament), Azhybay Kalmamatov, who visited the zone of conflict in Caucasus in the structure of the delegation of CIS IPA, informed on Wednesday, the agency reports referring to Kyrgyzstan mass media.

Bishkek. August 21. Kazakhstan Today - The Council of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS countries will make a statement on the Georgian-Ossetian conflict. The deputy of zhogorku kenesh (Kyrgyzstan Parliament), Azhybay Kalmamatov, who visited the zone of conflict in Caucasus in the structure of the delegation of CIS IPA, informed on Wednesday, the agency reports referring to Kyrgyzstan mass media.

The representatives of Kazakhstan and Belarus headed by CIS IPA Secretary General, Michael Krotov, were also in the group.

"Refugees asked us to ask the international organizations to send their representatives to visit the camps in North Ossetia," A. Kalmamatov said. The delegation of CIS IPA forwarded the request in Vladikavkaz to the OSCE Secretary General. "The Council of CIS IPA in the expanded structure may visit South Ossetia again," A. Kalmamatov summed up, having concluded, that the deputies of Kyrgyzstan Parliament will present the report on the trip on the first days of September of 2008.
