Concept of draft law on control of work of energy facilities being developed in Kazakhstan

Almaty. September 4. Kazakhstan Today - A concept of a draft law on controlling and monitoring the work of energy facilities is being developed in Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Today reports.

"The Ministry develops a concept of draft law on forming specific and effective system of organization of control and monitoring over the work of the energy facilities," Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev said at the session of the Government, according to the Prime Minister's official website.

The document provides for introduction of liabilities of energy producing organizations for not concluding contracts of mandatory insurance of civil liabilities for accidents.

Besides, the Minister noted that the readiness of all the regions for the heating season was being checked. As a result of the inspection, the regions with high risk levels will be defined.

As of today, the Government adopted 10 of 24 developed regulatory norms on electrical energy industry.

The Law "On electrical energy" and the Code on administrative violations were amended for systematic work on preparing of the energy industry for the heating season. According to these amendments, energy enterprises must have a readiness certificate for the heating season.
