Creation of peacekeeping potential of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is one of the important questions for participants of the Council of the Collective Security session of the organization.

Kazakhstan Today - Creation of peacekeeping potential of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is one of the important questions for participants of the Council of the Collective Security session of the organization. The first vice Minister of Defense of Tajikistan, the chief of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan Ramil Nadyrov said in the interview to the agency.

He considers that creation of the specified contingent in the CSTO format will enable to participate in peace-making operations under the aegis of the United Nations not only on the territory of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan - the countries - participants of the organization.

As it was informed earlier, the CSTO summit agenda, which will be held in the second half of the day on October 6, includes more than twenty questions. In particular, the statement of the Council of Collective Security projects of decisions on creating coordination councils of the leaders of the state bodies concerning struggle against illegal migration, emergencies, the projects of the Protocol on the mechanism of rendering military-technical help to the CSTO member states in case of threat of aggression or performance of the acts of aggression, the Plan of re-equipment (equipment) of the Collective forces of high-speed expansion with modern samples of arms and military technology will be considered.
