Kazakh President and Iranian Vice President discussed economical bilateral relations aspects

"We would like to advance our trade and economic partnership. Commodity turnover of $1.3 billion does not meet potential opportunities of our countries. We are actively cooperating with international and regional institutions - UN, SCO and CICA. We are also in reaching agreement on the Caspian Sea status. It is important to intensify our efforts in this direction," - Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

Astana. 19 May. Kazakhstan Today - On Friday the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Vice President of Iran Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh, Kazakhstan Today reports referring to the Head of State press service.

At the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that at present, Kazakhstan and Iran have good relations in different spheres.

"We would like to advance our trade and economic partnership. Commodity turnover of $1.3 billion does not meet potential opportunities of our countries. We are actively cooperating with international and regional institutions - UN, SCO and CICA. We are also in reaching agreement on the Caspian Sea status. It is important to intensify our efforts in this direction," - Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

In turn, Iranian Vice President also drew attention to good political and economic relations between the two countries.

The parties also discussed other aspects of bilateral relations and shared views on regional and international agenda.
