Kyrgyzstan approved the application of Belarus and Sri Lanka for the SCO dialogue partners status. The National Coordinator of SCO from Kyrgyzstan, Tolendy Makeev, informed at the press conference in Bishkek, the agency reports.

Bishkek. May 20. Kazakhstan Today - Kyrgyzstan approved the application of Belarus and Sri Lanka for the SCO dialogue partners status. The National Coordinator of SCO from Kyrgyzstan, Tolendy Makeev, informed at the press conference in Bishkek, the agency reports.

"Kyrgyzstan approved the application of Belarus and Sri Lanka for the SCO dialogue partners status," T. Makeev informed.

A number of states have the status of observers at the organization: Iran, India, Mongolia and Pakistan.

As informed earlier, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO countries agreed to recommend the leaders of their countries to give status of dialogue partners to Belarus and Sri Lanka. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, following the results of the meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers of the organization taken place on May, 15th in Moscow.
