Astana. July 14. Kazakhstan Today - The left bank of Astana has been defined as the new region of the capital. The decision was accepted at the meeting concerning Astana development on Saturday, the agency reports.

"Today we have made a decision - we have created the third region in Astana," the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov said. The assignment was given by the President Nursultan Nazarbayev on July 3, 2008.

According to akim of Astana, Imangali Tasmagambetov, "the feasibility report and economic calculations are ready."
