Majilis passed amendments to Constitutional Law on Elections

Deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the bill on introduction of amendments and additions in the Constitutional Law on Elections in Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Astana. December 24. Kazakhstan Today - Deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the bill on introduction of amendments and additions in the Constitutional Law on Elections in Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

According to Majilis Committee for Legislation and Judicial Reform, the bill assumes decentralization of powers of the Central Election Committee of Kazakhstan and giving the territorial election commissions the functions of registration of the authorized representatives of the president's candidates.

The norms of the project of the constitutional law provide equal conditions for all candidates for election posts during the election campaigns broadcasted by mass media and the order of terms of elections of maslikhat deputies.
