Majilis passed bill on local self-government

The deputies of Majilis of Parliament at the plenary session today passed the bill on introduction of amendments and additions to Local Self-Government Acts of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Astana. December 24. Kazakhstan Today -The deputies of Majilis of Parliament at the plenary session today passed the bill on introduction of amendments and additions to Local Self-Government Acts of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

According to Vice Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan, Dulat Kustavletov, "the Basic Law includes the parameters of the Kazakhstan model of local self-government directed at rapproachement of the systems of the local self-government and the government.

"The bill suggests introducing a number of amendments to the Laws on Local Government, on Administrative-Territorial Structure, on Public Associations, on Emergency Situations of Natural and Technogenic Characters conditioned by introduction of the institute of local self-government and elimination of contradictions in the legislation," D. Kustavletov noted.
