Nazarbayev congratulated Christians on Easter

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated Christians of Kazakhstan on Easter, the agency reports referring to the president's press service. Having visited Piously-Voznesensky cathedral in Almaty, the leader of the state, addressing the parishioners, said: "Guided by such eternal human values as love, respect, interethnic and interreligious consent, we have reached stability in Kazakhstan. We do everything by developing our economy to improve the life of our citizens," the press service informs.

Astana. April 28. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated Christians of Kazakhstan on Easter, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

Having visited Piously-Voznesensky cathedral in Almaty, the leader of the state, addressing the parishioners, said: "Guided by such eternal human values as love, respect, interethnic and interreligious consent, we have reached stability in Kazakhstan. We do everything by developing our economy to improve the life of our citizens," the press service informs.

"I, as the President of the state, will continue the policy of equality so that Easter and other religious holidays in multi confessional Kazakhstan are celebrated in conditions of peace and concord," N. Nazarbayev stated.

"Concord in the country, trust, kind relations with all neighbours are necessary pre-requisites for construction of the best for Kazakhstan, for the future of our children and grandchildren," he emphasized.

The President of the country expressed gratitude to the orthodox church of Kazakhstan, to Metropolitan of Astana and Almaty Mefodiy and to all clergymen for they daily work on mutual understanding, concord and friendship, owing to which our Native land - the Republic of Kazakhstan prospers.
