Astana. June 30. Kazakhstan Today - Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) does not impel members of nuclear club to reduce their nuclear arsenals. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev stated during the plenary 17 annual session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on Sunday, the agency reports.

"Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty has asymmetric character that imposes sanctions only on non-nuclear states, not impelling members of nuclear club to reduce their nuclear arsenals leading to disarmament," N. Nazarbayev said.

In his opinion, "it is unfair." "This injustice leads to non-fulfillment of NPT," the leader of the state emphasized.

The President of Kazakhstan noted the system of global safety on the basis of non-proliferation mode is in "condition close to paralysis."
