Parliament passed amendments to Law on Natural Monopolies and Regulated Markets

The deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session agreed with the amendments brought by the Senate to the bill of Kazakhstan on the amendments and additions to the Law on Natural Monopolies and Regulated Markets, the agency reports.

Astana. February 18. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session agreed with the amendments brought by the Senate to the bill of Kazakhstan on the amendments and additions to the Law on Natural Monopolies and Regulated Markets, the agency reports.

According to the regulations, the law is considered passed and is being sent to the head of state to be signed into law.

According to the developers of the law - Agencies for Regulation of Natural Monopolies - the law is aimed at modernization of the tariff policy and stimulation of activity of the subjects of natural monopolies and the administered markets.

The law establishes the differentiated tariffs for water depending on volumes of its consumption.

The document offers the right to the subject-dominant to independently reduce and increase the price for the services not higher than a reasonable price having informed the authorized body of such a change.
