Russian Ambassador awarded Dostyk reward

Astana. October 18. Kazakhstan Today - Russian Ambassador Vladimir Babichev who completed his diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan has been awarded Dostyk reward of the second degree, the President's press service informed.

The award to the diplomat was personally handed over by Nursultan Nazarbayev, having accepted Babichev in the capital residence today.

Babichev reminded that during his stay as the Ambassador to Kazakhstan the President of Russia Vladimir Putin paid nine visits to Kazakhstan. "If to speak about this year the forthcoming meeting in Minsk in November will be the twelfth meeting this year between our Presidents," he said.

The Russian diplomat shared with journalists that he has dual feelings leaving Kazakhstan. "On one hand, this is a feeling of sadness leaving friends in Kazakhstan and its remarkable people. And the feeling of satisfaction of the joint efforts to make Russian-Kazakhstan relations coming to a qualitatively new level," V. Babichev told.
