State of emergency introduced in Dzhalal Abad and Suzak areas of Kyrgyzstan

State of emergency introduced in the south of Kyrgyzstan in the city Dzhalal Abad of the Suzak area of the Dzhalal-Abad region, the agency reports citing the Kyrgyzstan provisional government press service.

Bishkek. May 20. Kazakhstan Today - State of emergency introduced in the south of Kyrgyzstan in the city Dzhalal Abad of the Suzak area of the Dzhalal-Abad region, the agency reports citing the Kyrgyzstan provisional government press service.

According to the press service, in connection with unceasing collisions of the population in the Dzhalal-Abad region, in the interests of safety of citizens, and with a view of prompt normalization of the situation in the country, the provisional government has accepted the decree introducing state of emergency.

Curfew will be introduced until June 1, 2010 from 20.00 p.m. until 6.00 a.m.

According to the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, death toll during collisions in Dzhalal Abad reached two people. The number of victims - 71 people, among them - a 5-year-old girl who received a gunshot wound in her stomach.
