20 % of Kazakhstan graduates unable to find jobs

The Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Zhanseit Tuymebaev, informed 20 % of Kazakhstan graduates cannot find jobs due to lack of correspondence of their qualification with the requirements of employers, the agency reports.

Astana. January 23. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Zhanseit Tuymebaev, informed 20 % of Kazakhstan graduates cannot find jobs due to lack of correspondence of their qualification with the requirements of employers, the agency reports.

"Thus, more than 2 thousand qualified pedagogical staff left the system of education because of a low payment in 2008," the Education Minister noted.

"Vocational training does not satisfy the requirements of the citizens and the labor market."Only 18 % of school graduates had an opportunity to acquire their first profession at the budget expense in 2008. The lowest indicators are in Almaty, Zhambyl, and South Kazakhstan oblasts," he emphasized.

"51 thousand foreign experts have been invited to the Republic for 11 months of 2008," the Education Minister underlined.
