4.7 billion KZT will be allocated to support the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. It was informed at the session of the Security Council of Kazakhstan with participation of the head of state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, which took place in Akorda on Wednesday, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

Astana. February 18. Kazakhstan Today - 4.7 billion KZT will be allocated to support the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. It was informed at the session of the Security Council of Kazakhstan with participation of the head of state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, which took place in Akorda on Wednesday, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

According to the press service, the session participants considered the course of realization of the national security strategy of Kazakhstan for 2007 - 2012, the objectives for the forthcoming period, and a series of measures for preparation for celebrations of the 65th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The head of state assessed the efficiency of execution by the state institutions in 2009 of the national security strategy. The priority directions of the work for the forthcoming period have been defined on the basis of the analysis of the tendencies developing in the security sphere.

The head of state charged to organize anniversary celebrations of the 65th victory in the Great Patriotic War at high level". "The President has noted that any war veteran, their widow, and the workers on the home front should not feel forgotten or deprived of the state's attention."

According to the press service, the main solemn events will be held in Astana. The veterans' trip will be paid by the republican budget, which allocated 300 million KZT for this purpose.
