Kazakhstan gave a start to the republican contest among schoolers in the transport sector. Following the contest, 40 finalists will visit Cranfield University in Great Britain as part of a training and orientation trip.
The contest is aimed at increasing the interest of schoolers in the transport sector and to motivate them to consciously opt for a specialty in the future. The contest includes two stages. The first one is a qualifying stage, that will be held by the Mayor’s Offices of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent. The final will be held in Astana in Nazarbayev University from July 24 to 26. The stage will be held by highly qualified specialists of the engineering school of aerospace contests of Cranfield University," said Director of the Department of Intellectual Property Rights of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan Karlygash Yesenbayeva at the briefing in the Central Communications Service.
According to her, the participants of the contest are schoolers of general education schools aged from 16 to 18 who knows English and with achievements in the area of physics and mathematics and science.
This year, taking into account the previous experience of holding such events, we have the wish to develop this contest where a direct emphasis is placed on the independence when choosing a specialty. That is one of the projects that diversifies the option of the youth as part of defining one’s future and the road of life. This is an opportunity to directly communicate with the leading specialists who have an opportunity to teach pilots, designers, architects, in the sphere of aeronautical engineering," said Deputy Executive Director of the Fund of the First President of Kazakhstan Sultan Aitzhanov.
It should be noted that 40 finalists of the contest will be able to visit Cranfield University in Great Britain as part of a training and orientation trip, where many events, seminars, trainings in the aerospace industry will be organized for them.
We noted that the contest in the transport sector among schoolers for the first time was held in Kazakhstan in 2017. 80 schoolers throughout Kazakhstan took part in it, 40 of them made the finals and won a trip to Great Britain.
