The Kazakh-Chinses film "Composer" will be televised in the 1st half of 2019, a website of the Khabar 24 informs.
The directors work to reduce the three-hour film to 90 minutes to display the film in cinemas.
In June 2018, during the visit of Nursultan Nazarbayev to Beijing, the Kazakh President and Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping watched the film and highly appraised it.
The film reveals the close friendship between Kazakh composer Bakhytzhan Baikadamov and famous Chinese musician Xian Xinghai, whom the Central Committee of China sent to the KazSSR in the 40s. Famous Chinese actors such as Hu Jun, Yuan Quan and Kazakh actors Berik Aitzhanov and Altynai Nogerbek play the main roles.
In this summer, the leaders of the two states watched the film and gave a high appraisal to it, as well as met with our filming team, and praised our work. However, there is still work to change its time length, as well as extra filming is needed. I believe that the film will come out next year," said the film's filmmaker Jonathan Shen.
