Astana. April 6. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan still takes last places in the international ratings of freedom of speech. The expert of the international non-governmental organization Freedom House, Rinata Alibekova, informed during the forum ' Judicial System and Mass Media, the agency reports.

"There are a number of international documents, which standardize and unify the human rights norms. Kazakhstan, being a lawful state and a full member of the international community, has joined and ratified many of them: the International Pact of Civil and Political Rights, the Orhuss Convention on Access to Information and others," R. Alibekova said.

"Despite ratification of these documents, the international organizations note unreasonable infringements of the freedom of speech in Kazakhstan, and, as a consequence, Kazakhstan continues to take last places in the international ratings of freedom of speech," R. Alibekova said.
