Lawyers of accused on mass HIV infection case insist on "not guilty" verdict

Shymkent. June 15. Kazakhstan Today - The lawyers of defendants on mass HIV infection of children case insist that their clients need to be discharged due to the absence of crime committed, the agency reports.

"Contrary to the requirements of the law there is no specific description of incriminated crime to specific people in the final verdict. All accused verdicts have the same wording made of general phrases in spite of the fact that all defendants had different official duties," the lawyer explained. V. Tsay considers that the investigation should have established how specifically "careless" and" negligent" attitude to duties of each of the accused medical worker was expressed.

As it was informed earlier, the judicial session on the case of mass HIV infection of children has been taking place since January 19 in Shymkent. The charges were brought against 21 people.
