Minister of Education met chairman of delegation of Association of Colleges of Great Britain

The Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Zhanseyit Tuymebayev, met the chairman of the delegation of Association of Colleges TVET UK, Matthew Andersen, and the representatives of some leading educational institutions of Great Britain, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Zhanseyit Tuymebayev, met the chairman of the delegation of Association of Colleges TVET UK, Matthew Andersen, and the representatives of some leading educational institutions of Great Britain, the agency reports.

According to Z. Tuymebayev, "our main goal for today is professional training in the sphere of professional technical education that will correspond to the international standards."

Kazakhstan plans to involve foreign teachers, experts on development of educational programs for teaching in educational institutions of the country, and to send our teachers and students to improve their professional skills in the leading educational institutions abroad.

"One of the main objectives - establishment of direct communications of cooperation between the educational institutions," the Minister emphasized.

The representative of Association of Colleges of Great Britain noted that "our organization is very interested in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan within the limits of the signed memorandum concerning development of qualifying system, in development of direct partner agreements between colleges of Kazakhstan, and our member - colleagues".

In August, 2008 Kazakhstan Education Ministry and Association of Colleges of Great Britain signed memorandum in the sphere of cooperation concerning assistance in technical and vocational training in Kazakhstan.
