Ministers of Education of Kazakhstan and China discussed prospects of cooperation between two countries

Kazakhstan Today - During the meeting in Astana on Saturday the Ministers of Education of Kazakhstan, Zhanseyit Tuymebayev, and China, Zhou Ji, discussed prospects of cooperation between two countries, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, during the meeting Z. Tuymebayev "noted that the spheres of cooperation between two countries extend every year and expressed hope that the present visit of his counterpart will promote further development of the Kazakhstan-Chinese cooperation."

Z. Tuymebayev informed his counterpart on the course of realization of the state program of development of technical and vocational training in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2008 - 2012 and other programs in the field of education.

Zhou Ji, noting the results of cooperation between two countries in the sphere of education, informed that 3750 Kazakhstan students are being trained at the Universities of the Peoples Republic of China on contract basis. 70 more students received grants. "He also talked about the prospects of SCO University created by the efforts of the SCO member states of SCO University," the press service informed.

"The honored guest expressed sincere admiration of successful introduction in educational institutions of Kazakhstan of effective forms of distance education, especially with the use of interactive boards," the message states.
