Baikonur. July 28. Kazakhstan Today - Preparation for launch of Malaysian satellite Measat-1R and booster block DM-SLB proceeds at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur on Saturday.

Launch of the space rocket Measat-1R by the carrier rocket Zenith-3SLБ and booster block DM-SLB is planned for August 21.

This week the experts of the Federal Space Center Baikonur, Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energy, Construction Design Office for Transport, Chemical and Mechanical Engineering at the Baikonur Federal Space Center on filling station of platform №31 of the cosmodrome started refueling of the booster block DM-SLB with components of fuel and compressed gases.

Booster block DM-SLБ is intended for launch to the geostationary orbit of Malaysian telecommunication satellite Measat-1R.

Foreign experts of the firm-manufacturer Orbital Sciences Corporation have been carrying out tests and checks of the systems of the space vehicle Measat-1R delivered to the cosmodrome on July 21.

Measat-1R was made on the base of the platform Star for small geostationary satellites by the American company Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC) under the order of the Malaysian communication operator Measat Satellite Systems and is intended for granting services of communication and transfer of TV signal of high clearness for Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries of Southern Asia.

One of these days booster rocket Zenith-3SLБ will be delivered from Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine) to the cosmodrome where in the assembly testing complex of platform №42 the experts of the cosmodrome will start pre-starting preparation of the rocket.

Booster rocket Zenith-3SLБ with the space rocket Measat-1R is planned to be launched from starting complex of platform №45 on August 21.
