Baikonur. October 28. Kazakhstan Today - The rocket Proton-K with three satellites Glonass-M has been successfully launched from Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the information of the press service of the Federal space center Baikonur.

The launch of the carrier rocket was performed on Friday at 13.35 Astana time from a launcher №24 of platform №81 and passed in a regular mode. The space vehicles were launched to the basic orbit by a booster rocket Proton-K. Separation of space vehicles from the booster block has been scheduled for 17.07 by Astana time (15.07 Moscow time).

It was the first launch of the rocket Proton after the crash on September 6 and the moratorium introduced by Kazakhstan on launches of rockets Proton of all modifications.

The interdiction on launches of Protons was lifted on October 24 after the Interdepartmental commission had provided the data of the analysis of the reasons of Proton crash during the launch on September 6. According to the conclusion of the commission, "the actions on maintenance of safety of the subsequent launches were performed in full on the available reserve of rockets-carriers of Proton type, including on the booster rocket for maintenance of launches of space vehicles Glonass-M. Thus, all the actions stipulated for resumption of launches of rockets-carriers of Proton type have been executed.

Originally the launch of Proton-K was planned for October 25, but then by the request of the Kazakhstan party has been shifted for one day later for a reserve day.

The launch of 3 satellites Glonass-M should supplement the group of 18 devices of the Russian global navigating system on the orbit (Glonass).
