Space vehicle Protostar-2 to be launched from Baikonur

Almaty. May 8. Kazakhstan Today - The rocket carrier Proton-M with the telecommunication satellite Protostar-2 is planned to be launched from the space center Baikonur on May, 16, 2009, the agency reports citing Roscosmos press service.

According to the press service, Protostar-2 will become the second satellite of the orbital group of the Asiatic operator of ProtoStar (Bermuda islands) and to provide direct broadcasting and other communication services in the territory of Indonesia, India, Philippines and Taiwan. Indonesian operator Indovision will provide services of direct broadcasting through this satellite for Indonesia.

Launch services contract of the rocket carrier Proton-M was concluded by International Launch Services Inc.
